  62.  A.  INTRODUCTION

  64.  The Power Up! Install program you are now running lets you copy DOS onto your
  65.  Power Up!  program diskette and install your Power Up! program on a hard disk.
  66.  All functions of the Install program are controlled from its Main Menu.
  67.  
  68.  While viewing the Install instructions, you can go directly to a specific
  69.  section or page by typing the section letter or page number, then pressing
  70.  Enter.  You can also print the instructions by pressing F3 whenever the
  71.  instructions are displayed.  Use either continuous-form paper or single sheets
  72.  for printing; the program will prompt you to choose.  The printed instructions
  73.  are three pages long.

  76.  B.  THE INSTALL MAIN MENU

  78.  The Install Main Menu has four options.  Before selecting an option, make sure
  79.  your Power Up! program diskette is in drive A and that it is not write-
  80.  protected.  To make a selection from the Main Menu, type the selection number,
  81.  then press the Enter key.  To return to the Main Menu after reading these
  82.  instructions, press F10.

  87.  Following is a discussion of each of the Install Main Menu selections:

  90.     1  SELECT ME FIRST

  92.        The first menu selection displays the Install program instructions--the
  93.        instructions you are now reading.

  96.     2  Install DOS on the Power Up! diskette 
  97.  
  98.        Selection 2 lets you install DOS on your Power Up! diskette.  Have your
  99.        DOS system diskette handy, and carefully follow the directions displayed
  100.        on the screen.

  103.     3  Install the Power Up! program on a hard disk 
  104.  
  105.        Selection 3 lets you install your Power Up! program on a hard disk.
  106.        Once installed, your Power Up! program can be run without using the
  107.        Power Up! diskette.

  112.        When the Install program asks you to specify your hard disk identifier,
  113.        type in the drive identifier (and pathname, if appropriate) for the
  114.        directory that you want the Power Up! program installed in.  For
  115.        example, to install the program in a subdirectory named POWERUP on a
  116.        hard disk labeled C:, you would type C:\POWERUP\.
  117.  
  118.        This is the only way to copy your Power Up! program onto your hard disk.
  119.        You can install the program up to five times.  If you have partitioned
  120.        your hard disk (divided it so that a part of it is called C:, a part D:,
  121.        for example), the partition that you want to install the Power Up!
  122.        program in must be at least two megabytes in size.

  127.        When you have finished using Install, choose selection 4 to exit the
  128.        Install program and return to DOS.

  139.  If your computer has a hard disk, choose selection 3; following the
  140.  instructions provided, install your Power Up! program on your hard disk.
  141.  Next, choose selection 4 to exit the Install program and return to DOS.

  144.  D.  IF YOU DON'T HAVE A HARD DISK 
  145.  
  146.  If your computer does not have a hard disk, first choose selection 2;
  147.  following the instructions provided, install DOS on your Power Up! diskette.
  148.  Next, choose selection 4 to exit the Install program and return to DOS.
  149.  
  150.  With DOS installed, run your Power Up! program by placing the program diskette
  151.  in drive A and following one of these steps:
  152.  
  153.     o  Turn on your computer.
  154.     o  If your computer is on and the DOS A> prompt is displayed, type POWERUP.
  155.     o  If your computer is on, but there is no DOS prompt, press Ctrl-Alt-Del.
